Accra: Former District Chief Executive (DCE) for Ahafo Ano South East, Thomas Owusu Ansah, has questioned the circumstances surrounding the return of former Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC) Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Sedina Tamakloe-Attionu, describing the development as a political strategy designed to influence public perception. Speaking on Oyerepa Radio, Owusu Ansah argued that the government's handling of the matter raises more questions than answers.
According to Ghana Web, Owusu Ansah claimed that the decision by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to bring Sedina back to face justice is a political tactic intended to mislead the public. He expressed skepticism about the official explanations that the former MASLOC boss is in police custody undergoing medical examinations, arguing that these do not sufficiently justify the extended duration involved.
Owusu Ansah questioned the prolonged nature of the medical procedures, contrasting it with other high-profile cases. He highlighted the case of evangelist and former traditional priestess Patricia Asiedua, known as Agradaa, where medical examinations were completed in about an hour. Owusu Ansah called for more transparency from the authorities regarding Sedina's current situation and the status of the proceedings, asking why there is a delay and where she is presently located.
