Offinso: A 36-year-old man has been butchered to death during a fight over a woman at Offinso in the Ashanti Region.
According to Ghana Web, the deceased, Kwabena Anokye, was allegedly killed by one Akwasi Anyam following a confrontation over a woman identified as Adwubi. Anokye had a child with Adwubi, but she later left him for Anyam, which led to the fatal altercation.
A source in the area informed OTEC News reporter Kwame Agyenim Boateng that Anokye could not accept Adwubi's decision to end their relationship and confronted Anyam, her new partner. The confrontation escalated into a violent clash, resulting in Anokye's death and Anyam sustaining machete wounds.
The body of the deceased has been deposited at the morgue, while Anyam remains in police custody, assisting with the ongoing investigations.
