Accra: The Ewe Loyalty Foundation (ELF), a non-governmental organization based in the Volta Region, has announced a three-day celebration to mark its fifth anniversary. The event is set to take place from September 25 to 27 at the Masito Royal Hotel in Mep©, North Tongu district.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Eric Shine Ekow Setor, the General Secretary of ELF, revealed that the anniversary would be celebrated under the theme '5 Years of Serving Humanity Together: Celebrating Loyalty and Our Next Steps.' The theme is intended to unite members, traditional leaders, invited dignitaries, partner organizations, and well-wishers in commemorating the Foundation's five years of service and its promotion of loyalty and cultural values.
A key highlight of the event will be a keynote address by Madam Xornam Favour Alayi-Hussey, the NDC Women's Organiser hopeful for Ketu South. Other notable attendees will include Mr. Isaac Kuwornu, Assembly Member for the Kua Electoral Area in Sogakope, and Madam Yvette Emefa Greve, the NDC Deputy Women's Organiser for Central Tongu.
The celebration will also feature appearances by Mr. Johnpaul Semavor, CEO of Volta Peak boutique hotel, Mr. Donald Brown Dzameshie, the 2024 Parliamentary Candidate for Akatsi South Constituency, and traditional leaders such as Torgbe Kwasi Maklalo Nego VI and Mamaga Adzo Sreku V.
The event will offer a variety of activities, including health screenings, education sessions, a pool party, fun games, a float, Borborbor Night, a grand durbar, skills training, and a Wine and Black Awards Night. Additional activities include cultural and competitive events, a thanksgiving service, and sports matches.
The Wine and Black Awards Night will present various competitions, such as pictionary and art, musical chairs, and dancing, adding an entertainment dimension to the anniversary. Partner organizations like Volta My Pride and My Culture, and My Pride, have been invited to participate, reflecting the Foundation's commitment to collaboration.
Executives of the Ewe Loyalty Foundation, including Founder Mr. Julius Kukubor, are expected to attend the entire celebration. The anniversary offers the Foundation an opportunity to reflect on its achievements, celebrate its community, and outline its future goals.
