Sefwi wiawso: Mr Haruna Iddrisu, Minister of Education, has toured some BECE examination centres in the Sefwi Wiawso Municipality to observe the start of the 2026 exams. The Minister urged WAEC to review how examination papers are transported to exams Centres after he witnessed the late delivery of materials to Boako M/A School Centre in the Municipality.
According to Ghana News Agency, the Municipality has been one of the hotspots for examination malpractices. In Effia Kwesimintsim Municipal Area in the Western Region, a total of 3031 candidates are taking the BECE exams. BECE candidates at Holy Child School and Adisadel College in Cape Coast gathered for a crucial pep talk session. Educators outlined key dos and don'ts to ensure exam success.
Students were advised to arrive early with all required items like biro pens, mathematical sets, and identification cards, while strictly avoiding prohibited items such as mobile phones, calculators, and unauthorized notes. Mr Ludwig Teye Totimeh, Tema West Municipal Chief Executive Officer, addressed BECE candidates at the Trinity Lutheran School at Tema Community Two.
