Accra: Apostle General Sam Korankye Ankrah, founder of Royal House Chapel International, has called upon Christians to perceive Easter as a lived spiritual experience that should be reflected in their daily conduct, rather than merely acknowledging it as a historical event. Preaching at a Resurrection Service in Accra on Sunday, he emphasized the essence of Easter as the transformative power of Jesus Christ's resurrection, as demonstrated by the early apostles.
According to Ghana News Agency, Rev. Ankrah quoted from the Acts of the Apostles, highlighting that the apostles boldly declared, 'of which we are witnesses,' suggesting that their message was rooted in personal encounter rather than hearsay. He explained that the resurrection of Jesus is not just historical but an experience, urging that true Christian witness must transcend knowledge, encompassing what one has seen, understood, and spiritually experienced.
Rev. Ankrah recounted how apostles such as Peter, James, John, and Paul faced persecution and death, unable to deny their encounter with the risen Christ. He indicated that their willingness to suffer and die for their faith underscores the authenticity of the resurrection message and its enduring relevance. He urged Christians to demonstrate their faith through their conduct in homes, workplaces, and communities, emphasizing that their lives should be evidence of their faith.
Rev. Ankrah noted that the resurrection provides hope beyond death, assuring believers of eternal life. He stressed that without Christ's resurrection, the Christian faith would be deemed empty. He explained that the transformation of Peter the Apostle, from denial to bold proclamation after the resurrection, showcased the power of encountering Christ.
