It occurred on Monday, February 2, 2026, around 7:20 am, affecting the top floor of the girls' dormitory building. The blaze has been brought under control by the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), but it has left a significant impact on the school community.
The school authorities are currently assessing the cause of the fire and the full extent of the damage. This incident marks the second fire at the Tolon SHS girls' dormitory, following a similar blaze in 2022.
