‘Don’t Ever Come Online to Threaten Florence Again’ – Schwarzenegger Warns Bishop Obinim

Accra: Ghanaian socialite Afia Schwarzenegger has weighed in on the ongoing controversy surrounding Bishop Obinim and his wife, Florence, issuing a strong warning to the outspoken preacher. In a video shared on her TikTok page, Afia Schwarzenegger cautioned Obinim against ever taking to social media again to publicly threaten or warn his wife.

According to Ghana Web, Florence Obinim has silently endured many painful experiences throughout their marriage for the sake of their children and family. Afia argued that if Florence were to finally speak publicly about everything she has endured, the consequences would be severe for the preacher. She claimed that if Florence decides to reveal some of the things she has allegedly suffered in the marriage, even their children would no longer want to associate with their father.

Afia further warned Obinim against attempting to use their children to blackmail Florence, insisting that nobody can take the children away from their mother. She emphasized Florence’s sacrifices for her family, staying in the marriage despite numerous challenges solely because of her children. ‘You can’t blackmail her with the children; there’s no better mother on earth than Florence because everything she has seen and endured just for the sake of her children, they will forever remember her sacrifices,’ she stated.

The socialite also mentioned that if Florence were to disclose everything she knows, not only would their children turn against Obinim, but even Florence’s own family would refuse to associate with him. Furthermore, she added that he would not have a firm foundation to stand on in his own church if such revelations came to light.

Afia advised Bishop Obinim to be mindful of the statements he makes about his wife in public. She warned that should he continue attacking Florence publicly, she would personally defend Florence and ‘take over the mantle’ on her behalf. She criticized Obinim’s repeated claims that Florence has never worked a day in her life, questioning whether being a pastor is considered a profession. Afia argued that if preaching qualifies as a job, then being a pastor’s wife should equally be regarded as work.

According to her, Florence plays several important roles within the church, including preaching, singing during services, and counselling church members. ‘You claim Florence has never worked in her life; being a pastor is a job, right? So how is being a pastor’s wife not a job? Someone who serves as a mother figure to your congregation. Does she not sing in your church? Does she not preach in your church? Does she not counsel your congregation? She has built the church with you for over 20 years,’ she said.

Afia concluded by urging Prophet Obinim to be more careful with his words, warning that if he continues making public remarks against his wife, she will not hesitate to continue speaking out in Florence’s defence. ‘Leave Florence alone; if you try her again, I will personally deal with you,’ she added.
