Accra: Roman Fada, former manager of the late Highlife legend Daddy Lumba, has revealed plans to transform the musician's final resting place into a mausoleum that will be accessible to the public. This initiative aims to provide a space where fans and visitors can pay their respects to the iconic artist.
According to Ghana Web, Roman Fada shared this development during an interview with media personality Kofi Adoma. He disclosed that the family intends to announce a date soon when the public can visit the site to honour the legendary musician by laying wreaths and paying their respects. The mausoleum is envisioned as a tribute to Daddy Lumba's contributions to Ghanaian music and his remarkable life.
Roman Fada explained that visitors may need to pay a fee to access the facility, with the funds being used for maintaining and upkeeping the mausoleum. He emphasized that the family is committed to preserving Daddy Lumba's legacy and offering fans an opportunity to learn about his influential career.
Additionally, visitors to the mausoleum will have the chance to explore the musician's history and legacy, including his life, musical journey, achievements, awards, and major performances. The site will feature giant screens displaying footage from some of Daddy Lumba's memorable concerts, with his music playing in the background to create an immersive experience for visitors.
The announcement follows the family's commemoration of the first anniversary of Daddy Lumba's passing, during which they revealed details about his final resting place. Daddy Lumba, whose real name was Charles Kwadwo Fosu, passed away on July 26, 2025, and was laid to rest in his private residence in East Legon, Accra. The mausoleum is expected to serve as a center dedicated to celebrating the life and legacy of one of Ghana's most influential musicians.
