Accra: The Consumer News and Business Channel Africa (CNBC Africa) has entered into a strategic partnership with KGL Group to establish a CNBC Africa country office in Ghana, hosted by KGL Group. This collaboration was officially unveiled at the 10th Ghana CEO Summit 2026.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Alex Apau Dadey, the Group Executive Chairman of the KGL Group of Companies, highlighted that the partnership represents a shared commitment to amplifying African business stories and strengthening conversations around enterprise and investment. The initiative aims to position Ghana more prominently within the global business and economic landscape. CNBC Africa currently has bureaus in several cities, including Abuja, Cape Town, Johannesburg, and more, with Arabic business programmes shown in Cairo, Casablanca, and Khartoum.
Mr. Dadey, speaking at the summit, emphasized the need for a deliberate continental effort towards building resilient African enterprises capable of competing globally while transforming local economies sustainably. He addressed a distinguished gathering, including President John Dramani Mahama, stressing that Africa's transformation depends on building enduring institutions anchored on bold leadership and long-term thinking.
He noted that Africa faces a crucial choice between remaining a market for others or building enterprises capable of shaping global economic outcomes. Addressing challenges faced by indigenous enterprises, Mr. Dadey advocated for nurturing responsible local businesses, emphasizing that industrialization cannot succeed where leadership fails.
Furthermore, Mr. Dadey called for stronger governance structures and long-term reinvestment strategies to preserve productive capital across generations. He expressed appreciation to President Mahama for advocating local ownership and indigenous participation as critical pillars for sustainable national development.
