Accra: The legal team representing Joana Quaye, estranged wife of entrepreneur Richard Nii Armah Quaye, has described allegations made by the Bills Microcredit CEO in a recent television interview as substantially untrue.
According to Ghana Web, the firm Messrs Dame and Partners, led by former Attorney-General Godfred Yeboah Dame, issued a press release dated April 27, 2026, condemning the interview conducted by RNAQ with broadcaster Deloris Frimpong Manso on her popular Delay Show. The legal team asserted that the claims made in the interview unfairly attacked the reputation and integrity of Joana Quaye.
The lawyers highlighted that the interview coincided with active appellate proceedings, which they argue is an attempt to influence public opinion against Joana Quaye and undermine the administration of justice. They accused RNAQ of deliberately timing the interview to coincide with the ongoing legal proceedings.
Messrs Dame and Partners also refuted claims concerning the origins of RNAQ's business empire. They insisted that Joana Quaye and her estranged husband jointly founded Quick Credit and Investment Micro-Credit Company Limited in 2011, and that her shares were transferred without her knowledge.
The legal team emphasized that Joana Quaye would not engage in a public dispute, opting instead to rely on the courts to resolve the matter. They expressed confidence in the justice system of Ghana to address the wrongs and abuse allegedly inflicted by Richard Nii Armah Quaye and to ensure an equitable distribution of the couple's assets.
