Kumasi: The Christ Resurrection Church has climaxed its 40th anniversary celebration, recognizing immense growth in evangelizing and salvaging people from wrongdoing.
According to Ghana News Agency, the church acknowledges that since its establishment in 1986, it has navigated turbulent moments with perseverance and a purpose-driven mission, overcoming challenging times. Over the years, the church has expanded to at least 26 branches across the country and continues to plan for further expansion.
Apostle Joseph Emmanuel Mensah, the General Overseer of the Church, highlighted the Church's role in providing education and health assistance during a service to mark the celebrations in Kumasi. Preaching on the theme 'Celebrating the Covenant Keeping God', he encouraged Christians to renew their hope and live peacefully with one another.
The General Overseer emphasized that true children of God should walk by faith, uphold truth, and contribute to the growth of communities and nations. He added that the church should always serve as a place of peace and mediation. Showing kindness, he noted, should be a guiding principle, as many in society are vulnerable and in need of assistance from Christians.
As part of the 40th anniversary celebrations, the church organized a series of educational and thought-provoking activities to sensitize members and the public on the importance of staying informed and health-conscious. These activities included a symposium on the Fourth Industrial Revolution, encouraging members to embrace advanced technological tools, including artificial intelligence.
Additionally, the church organized a health walk, screenings, and fun games to promote fitness among its members.
