Celestine Donkor Advises Married Men on the Importance of Emotional Connection in Marriage

Accra: Gospel musician Celestine Donkor has advised married men not to assume that marriage gives them unrestricted access to sex whenever they desire. In a video shared on her Instagram page, the gospel singer explained that women need love, care, and attention from their husbands, rather than the assumption that marriage alone guarantees sexual intimacy.

According to Ghana Web, Celestine Donkor expressed that a husband should not take for granted the sexual relationship within marriage. She emphasized that a woman requires emotional connection and affection to feel intimate. Donkor advised husbands to engage in sweet-talking, expressing love, and showing care to maintain a healthy marriage.

Celestine Donkor further encouraged husbands to maintain regular communication with their wives, even while at work, stating that small gestures of affection can strengthen a marriage. She suggested that husbands should make an effort to check in with their wives during the day to make them feel appreciated and connected.

The gospel musician also clarified that when women ask for attention, it does not mean that their husbands should refrain from working. Instead, women desire to feel valued and emotionally connected, even in the absence of their spouse. Donkor highlighted the importance of making one's presence felt, despite physical distance.

She concluded by cautioning men against complacency, warning that religious commitment alone does not prevent infidelity. Men should not rely solely on their wives' religious beliefs or commitment to the marriage, as emotional neglect could lead to unfaithfulness.
