Bryan Acheampong Calls for Unity and Discipline in NPP Ahead of 2026 Primaries

Offinso: Dr. Bryan Acheampong, a presidential aspirant for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has urged delegates to vote for him in the upcoming presidential primaries scheduled for January 31, 2026. He emphasized that granting him the mandate to lead the party would pave the way for the restoration of discipline and unity within the NPP, which he identified as essential for the party's success in the 2028 general elections.

According to Ghana News Agency, Dr. Acheampong addressed party delegates at Offinso, stressing the importance of unity among the party's leadership and members. He argued that without a cohesive front, the NPP would struggle to regain power in the 2028 elections. He assured the delegates that his leadership would bring about a total transformation within the party, with a particular focus on revitalizing polling station executives and engaging grassroots members.

Dr. Acheampong highlighted the need for inclusivity within the party, advocating for addressing the grievances and concerns of grassroots members. He believes that this approach is crucial in building a strong foundation for the party's future. He called on the delegates to entrust him with the leadership role, promising that together they could secure victory in 2028.

He reiterated his commitment to leading the party towards a future where unity and discipline are paramount. Accompanying Dr. Acheampong were notable figures such as Dr. Marfo, a former Member of Parliament, Mr. Pius Enam Hadzide, the spokesman for his campaign, and Mr. Kusi Boafo. Additionally, supporters like Nana Wiafe Ababio and Mr. Adu-Poku Christian, the NPP Assistant Party Chairman for the UK, showed their solidarity in this critical campaign effort.
