Accra: Ghanaian musician Black Sherif has revealed some hard truths about the music industry, describing it as far different from what he imagined before entering the scene. The 'Iron Boy' hitmaker explained that before immersing himself in the industry, he believed it was 'a fantasy world.'
According to Ghana Web, Black Sherif noted that his experience has shown him otherwise, emphasizing that the industry is heavily influenced by politics and division. He shared insights about the inner workings of the music world, which he had once perceived differently. The musician expressed a conscious decision to distance himself from the political and divisive aspects of the industry.
Black Sherif further elaborated on his stance, saying, "A chunk of it is politics and division. Before my soul could even find the words to describe the effect of division, I was repelling it. I never want to be part of any of the division conversations." His remarks underscore the challenges and realities many artists face in navigating the complexities of the music industry.
