Accra: The 27th edition of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) took place at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre, marking a significant celebration of accomplishments in the Ghanaian music scene.
According to Ghana News Agency, Black Sherif emerged as the evening's standout winner, securing the coveted Artiste of the Year award for the second time, having first claimed the title in 2023. His achievements were further underscored by winning a total of five awards, largely driven by the success of his acclaimed 'Iron Boy' album.
Rapper Medikal was another prominent figure, winning four awards. His accolades included Best Hiplife/Hip-Hop Artiste and Song, Best Collaboration, and Most Popular Song of the Year for his hit single 'Shoulder,' featuring Shatta Wale and Beeztrap.
Highlife artist Kofi Kinaata and singer Moliy also had notable evenings, each winning two awards. Moliy's achievements included International Collaboration of the Year, thanks to her contribution to the 'Shake It To The Max' remix.
