Accra: The Black Princesses of Ghana have departed Ghana for Poland ahead of the 2026 FIFA U20 Women's World Cup. The 17-member squad, accompanied by the technical team, left Accra on Sunday in preparation for the tournament, which is set to take place from September 5 to 27, 2026.
According to Ghana Web, the Black Princesses intensified their preparations last month after resuming camping at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram. The team earned their spot at the global tournament after a strong qualifying campaign and now aim to compete against some of the best young women's teams in the world.
Ghana, drawn in Group C, will face Republic, Ecuador, and France in the group stage. The tournament will showcase leading young women's football teams from around the globe, with Ghana among the African representatives aspiring to make a significant impact on the international stage.
