Accra: Founder of the International God’s Way Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim, has clarified recent comments regarding his funeral arrangements, addressing speculation about potential marital issues.
According to Ghana Web, Bishop Obinim had previously stated that he preferred his children and church members to organize his funeral to avoid controversies similar to those associated with other notable figures. This led to public speculation about his relationship with his wife, Florence Obinim. Addressing these rumors, Bishop Obinim emphasized that he has no marital problems and is not considering a divorce. He explained that his comments were intended to prevent future legal disputes between his wife and family.
Bishop Obinim further elaborated that his wife was informed of his wishes since 2015. He mentioned telling his children about his preferences for his funeral arrangements long ago, emphasizing that Florence was aware of these plans and should have sought clarification if needed. He also noted his intention to take a break and remarked about his confidence in having many years ahead.
Florence Obinim responded to her husband’s public declaration, expressing no surprise and appreciating his openness. In a radio interview, she conveyed her support for his decision to speak publicly and expressed her willingness to discuss attending his funeral when the time comes.
