Wenchi: Mr Eric Osei, the Assembly Member for the Akrobi Electoral Area in the Wenchi Municipality of Bono Region, has implemented initiatives to support candidates of the ongoing Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) by providing free transportation and essential writing materials.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr Osei arranged for a free bus service to ensure the 50 candidates from the area can reach their examination centres promptly. In addition to transport, he donated mathematical sets, rulers, pens, and pencils to encourage the students to perform well in their exams.
Mr Osei, speaking after a brief presentation ceremony at Wenchi, emphasized that the initiative aimed not only to motivate the students but also to facilitate timely access to their examination venues. He advised the candidates to maintain diligence, confidence, and integrity in their work to secure good grades, which would enable them to pursue further education.
He also cautioned the students against engaging in examination malpractices such as copying or bringing unauthorized materials into the examination hall, as such actions could result in the cancellation of their results and disrupt their educational journey.
The candidates expressed their gratitude towards Mr Osei for his support and committed to studying hard to achieve excellent grades.
