‘Asene Deserves Better’ Seeks Community Support for Sustainability, Development Project

Akim asene: The Asene Deserve Better (ADB) Association, a community development group, has appealed to donors, businesses, and individuals to provide financial support to sustain and expand its major environmental rehabilitation and sanitation projects in the Akim Asene area. Mr. Akwasi Owusu Acheampong, the Chairman of the association, made the call in an interview, emphasizing the importance of community involvement in local development initiatives.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Acheampong explained that the government alone cannot address all infrastructural issues, highlighting the need for citizens to contribute actively to their community's development. He detailed several initiatives the group has already undertaken since its establishment in March 2025, including clearing overgrown vegetation along crucial routes and enhancing road safety through reflective painting on bridge structures.

The ADB Association has been proactive in organizing regular cleaning exercises to ensure high sanitary standards within Akim Asene. Mr. Acheampong stressed that the organization operates without political, religious, or ethnic affiliations, focusing solely on improving various aspects of community life such as sanitation, health, education, security, and social welfare.

Mr. Acheampong encouraged the public to engage with and support the ADB's initiatives by following their activities on their Facebook page, "Asene Deserve Better."
