Asantewaa Clarifies Breakup with AMG Amarni: ‘He Was Ready for Marriage; I Was Not’

Accra: Ghanaian TikTok content creator and entrepreneur Asantewaa has addressed the rumors surrounding her split from musician AMG Amarni, emphasizing that contrary to popular belief, it was Amarni who was ready for marriage. Speaking in a video circulating on social media, Asantewaa clarified that she was not prepared to take that step, dismissing any notions that Amarni was unwilling to settle down or that she was heartbroken over the breakup.

According to Ghana Web, Asantewaa expressed that the reports suggesting Amarni's reluctance to marry were inaccurate. She stated, "You were saying the guy was not ready to marry and settle down, but who told you I was ready to marry and settle down? Amarni wanted to get married, but I wasn't ready for marriage."

Further elaborating on her decision, Asantewaa revealed that although Amarni loved her deeply, her feelings for him had changed, leading to the end of their relationship. She clarified, "He loves me a lot, but I don't love him anymore. Make that small correction because you are mixing up the stories."

Despite their breakup, Asantewaa noted that Amarni still holds her in high regard. She asserted, "He wants to see me so badly, and I will hit my chest and let you know that he will tell you that I am the best he has ever met."

Addressing claims that she was distraught because Amarni left her, Asantewaa admitted to shedding tears but insisted that her emotions were not related to being abandoned. "Yes, I will cry because I am a human being, but I did not cry because a man left me. A man can't leave me," she affirmed.

Asantewaa described herself as a valuable person in any relationship, asserting her self-worth. "I am a big asset. You can call that bragging or whatever, but I am not and can never be a liability that somebody would want to run away from," she concluded confidently.
