Asante Gold Bibiani Limited Completes School Block for Bibiani Community

Bibiani: Asante Gold Bibiani Limited has successfully handed over a newly constructed school complex to the Ghana Education Service (GES) in the Bibiani Municipality. This development is part of a broader resettlement programme aimed at benefiting the Bibiani Old Town and Zongo communities.

According to Ghana News Agency, the project situated at the resettlement site includes a kindergarten, primary school, and junior high school. Additionally, it features seven teacher accommodation units, including a two-bedroom apartment designated for the headmaster. During the handover ceremony, Mr. Dave Anthony, CEO of Asante Gold Corporation, expressed his satisfaction with the progress achieved. He emphasized that the handover of the school was a testament to the company's commitment to fulfilling its promises to the affected communities. Mr. Anthony also announced that the first 100 housing units are projected to be completed and handed over by June 2026 to provide shelter for those involved in the Bibiani resettlement programme.

Mr. Anthony acknowledged the collaborative efforts of key stakeholders, notably the traditional authorities and the affected communities, which were instrumental in the completion of the facility. He expressed confidence that the modern amenities would enable the school to commence operations from the next academic term.

Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II, the Paramount Chief of the Sefwi Anhwiaso Traditional Area and President of the National House of Chiefs, praised Asante Gold Corporation for making significant progress on the resettlement project. He highlighted the improvement in safety and living conditions for the residents affected by the initiative. Furthermore, he urged the GES staff who will be assigned to the school to ensure the facility's proper maintenance to sustain its longevity.
