Accra: Apostle Seth Twum-Barimah has been inducted as Chairperson of the Christian Praise International Centre (CPIC), commencing a five-year term as leader of the Church. The induction ceremony brought together members of the Church, leaders of Pentecostal and Charismatic churches, traditional authorities, and other invited guests.
According to Ghana News Agency, Apostle Twum-Barimah, in an interview following the ceremony, stated that his mandate is to provide both spiritual and administrative leadership for the Church and guide its activities over the next five years. He highlighted a key priority of his leadership: deepening the Church's impact in communities and encouraging members to uphold Christian values. "We are going to embark on a serious mission because Jesus Christ gave us the Great Commission that we should win souls," he said.
Apostle Twum-Barimah revealed that the Church would undertake crusades, community outreach programmes, and broadcasting activities to extend its reach to areas where it currently has no presence. These initiatives aim to expose more communities to Christian teachings and strengthen the spiritual lives of individuals across the country.
The Chairperson emphasized that the mission of the Church would extend beyond evangelism to include promoting moral values and responsible citizenship. He urged members to lead exemplary lives and stressed the importance of discipline, humility, respect for authority, and adherence to civic responsibilities, including the payment of taxes.
Apostle Twum-Barimah mentioned that his administration would focus on strengthening unity among members and promoting holy living as essential elements for the growth of the Church. He expressed optimism that collective commitment and dedication would enable the Church to expand its spiritual and social impact.
The ceremony featured gospel ministrations by Ms Grace Ashley and Jemima Annor-Yeboah, daughter of the founder of the Church. Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyeman Badu II, Paramount Chief of the Dormaa Traditional Area, attended the event with members of his entourage and praised Apostle Twum-Barimah for his leadership within the Christian community and beyond. The Paramount Chief pledged support for the Church and announced a donation of land in the Dormaa area as well as GHS100,000 towards its activities.
