Ghana: Ghanaian dancehall artiste Stonebwoy has shared his excitement following the recent induction of French-Beninese music icon Ang©lique Kidjo as the first African singer to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Ang©lique Kidjo, on August 18, 2026, became the 2,854th honouree in the Recording category after winning five Grammy Awards.
According to Ghana Web, following the honour, Stonebwoy expressed his excitement about his association with Ang©lique Kidjo in a post shared on X and sighted on August 24, 2026. Stonebwoy noted that it still feels like a dream to have performed on the same stage with the celebrated musician at the Royal Albert Hall in the United Kingdom.
“To make music with the first African woman to have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. To call her Africa Mama. To perform with her as a special guest on her 40th at the Royal Albert Hall,” he shared. Stonebwoy, while referring to Ang©lique Kidjo as his godmother in the music industry, noted that he feels blessed to have the celebrated musician featured on the same song with him.
