Accra: Angel Asiamah, husband of Patricia Asiedu Asiamah, founder of Heaven Way Champion International Ministry, has expressed relief, stating that the physical discomfort he experienced during his wife's incarceration has dissipated since her return. Speaking to church congregants on March 8, 2026, Angel Asiamah shared that while his wife was in prison, he suffered from a persistent sensation of heaviness in his waist, to the extent that he felt he needed a walking stick to aid his mobility.
According to Ghana Web, Angel Asiamah described the sensation as so severe that he questioned whether he was suffering from an illness. He later realized it was not a medical condition but rather the absence of what he referred to as 'that thing' he needed, as revealed to him by God. Upon his wife's return, he reported that the discomfort vanished, attributing it to her presence beside him in bed.
Angel Asiamah made a solo appearance at their church following Nana Agradaa's release and remarked to the congregation: 'As I stand in front of you now, I have my partner lying beside me in bed. If I stretch my hand, it touches things. Some months ago, whenever I walked, my waist felt so heavy that it was like I needed a walking stick. But God told me I wasn't sick, it was that thing. Today, all the weight that was on my waist is completely gone as my partner is back,' he said in Twi dialect.
He further expressed his belief that when people complain of illnesses, the cause might not always be health-related. He suggested that in some circumstances, the absence of a spouse could be a contributing factor. Nana Agradaa, his wife, had been absent for approximately eight months due to serving a jail term following her conviction by an Accra Circuit Court. She faced multiple charges, including defrauding by false pretence and charlatanic advertisement related to a money-doubling scheme she promoted during a church service in Weija, Greater Accra Region.
