Tamale: Member of Parliament for Karaga and former Minister for Finance, Mohammed Amin Adam, has commissioned a new one-storey 12-unit classroom block at the Northern School of Business (NOBISCO), where he completed his O-Level education. Dr. Amin Adam emphasized that this project is part of his ongoing commitment to advancing education and enhancing learning infrastructure in northern Ghana.
According to Ghana Web, Dr. Amin Adam highlighted that this initiative complements similar educational support efforts previously provided to institutions such as Tamale Senior High School, Markaziyya Islamic School, and Ambariyya Islamic Institute. He reiterated his belief that education is a transformative tool that creates opportunities for young individuals irrespective of their backgrounds. Access to quality education, he noted, is instrumental in promoting social mobility and enabling individuals to contribute significantly to national development.
Dr. Amin Adam expressed in a Facebook post that education serves as both a societal leveller and a ladder of opportunity, empowerment, and social mobility. He further conveyed that those who have benefited from educational opportunities should feel a responsibility to support the communities that have played a role in their growth and success.
He extended his gratitude to the Headmaster of NOBISCO, Issah Dokurugu, for his leadership and dedication to the project's successful completion. The former Finance Minister also acknowledged the contributions of the school's alumni and commended the contractor for delivering what he described as quality work. Dr. Amin Adam expressed optimism that the new classroom block would significantly enhance teaching and learning conditions for the students at the school.
