Manso nkwanta: The Amansie West District Assembly has provided a new pickup vehicle to the Manso Nkwanta District Police Command, aiming to boost security operations and improve policing services within the district. Mr Prince Manu Morris, the District Chief Executive for Amansie West, emphasized during the presentation ceremony that this initiative is part of the Assembly's commitment to equipping the Ghana Police Service with necessary resources to maintain law and order and ensure the safety of residents.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr Manu Morris highlighted that effective policing relies not only on the dedication of security personnel but also on having sufficient operational resources. He expressed optimism that the new vehicle would enhance the operational capacity of the Manso Nkwanta District Police Command, enabling law enforcement officers to respond more quickly to emergencies, increase patrols, and tackle crime more efficiently across the district.
The DCE praised the leadership of the Ghana Police Service, particularly the Inspector-General of Police and the Ashanti South Regional Police Command, for their steadfast dedication to protecting lives and property in Amansie West. He noted that the district had seen significant improvements in security, with no robbery cases reported over the past year, attributing this success to the professionalism and vigilance of the police, as well as strong collaboration between security agencies and the public.
Mr Manu Morris called upon chiefs, opinion leaders, and residents to remain united and support the security services by providing credible information that will help maintain the peace in the district. He urged residents to set aside partisan political differences and work collectively towards advancing the development agenda of Mansoman, emphasizing that the focus should now be on the development of Amansie West.
Additionally, the DCE appealed for support and prayers from residents as he endeavors to fulfill his commitment to rehabilitate the deteriorating road network in the area, highlighting that improved roads are crucial for the district's socio-economic development.
Chief Superintendent Martin Innigan, the Manso Nkwanta Divisional Police Commander, received the vehicle on behalf of the Command and expressed gratitude to the Amansie West District Assembly for their timely support. He assured both the Assembly and residents that the vehicle will be used effectively to strengthen security operations, enhance rapid responses to crime, and maintain peace and order throughout the district.
