Amanfoso: The discovery of a nearly decomposed body of a farmer has thrown the Amanfoso community, near Nsoatre in the Sunyani West Municipality into a state of shock. Madam Attaa Adwoa, the Assembly Member of the Amanfoso Electoral Area, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that some residents found the body of Kabore Abuu lying prostrate on a mango farm on Sunday, February 1, 2026.
According to Ghana News Agency, Madam Attaa Adwoa described the incident as alarming, noting it was the fifth time such an occurrence had taken place in the area, prompting calls for swift police investigations. In another interview, Mr Hamza Zakaria, a member of the bereaved family, shared that the deceased had left home for the farm on January 26, 2026, and did not return.
He further stated that the police had since picked up the body and deposited it at the Berekum Holy Family Catholic Hospital for preservation and autopsy as investigations continued.
