Ama Burland Defends Sarkodie and Stonebwoy’s Public Dispute

Accra: Ghanaian influencer Ama Burland has responded to criticism surrounding the ongoing social media exchanges between Sarkodie and Stonebwoy, insisting that the artistes should not be condemned for expressing their emotions because such disagreements won't break the industry.

According to Ghana Web, Ama Burland's comment came after an X user identified as Sherif criticized the two musicians for publicly trading words instead of resolving their differences privately. The user expressed concern over the state of the industry, suggesting that influential figures should work towards reconciliation rather than engage in public disputes.

Ama Burland countered this perspective by arguing that both Sarkodie and Stonebwoy have been 'mature for too long' and deserve the opportunity to express their feelings openly. She emphasized that disagreements among top musicians are common and do not necessarily harm the industry. Burland cited examples of global stars such as Davido and Wizkid, Nicki Minaj and Cardi B, and Drake and Kendrick Lamar, who have had public spats yet continue to thrive in their careers.

The influencer, known for her support of Sarkodie and admiration for Stonebwoy's music, reiterated that such exchanges are a part of the entertainment world. She believes that allowing artists to express themselves could prevent prolonged tensions and foster a more authentic industry environment.
