Akwatia: The Member of Parliament for Akwatia, Bernard Bediako Baidoo, has responded to allegations that he was involved in a scheme to sell the properties and land of Air Real Estate Company Limited. In a video shared on social media, the MP clarified that the accusations, which were directed at Pastor Kelvin, the founder and leader of the Zoe Outreach Embassy Church in Ghana, are false.
According to Ghana Web, the MP stated that although he worked at the law firm that dealt with the case, he was not involved in it. He emphasized that the case was managed by a senior lawyer at the firm. Bediako reiterated, "This is not an issue I'm going to waste my time on. It is simple. First of all, it is not true that I was the lawyer of Augustine and I was the person who scammed and took everything to court. in this particular case, I was not the lawyer on record."
The MP challenged anyone, including Kwesi Kubiri, to produce documents proving his involvement. He added that Pastor Kelvin had previously confronted the senior lawyer who handled the case, and the lawyer defended the actions taken. Bediako expressed confusion over why he is currently being targeted.
The allegations from Pastor Kelvin suggest that the MP orchestrated a scheme to sell the properties of Air Real Estate Company Limited by allegedly forging documents to win a court case. The pastor accused Bediako of fabricating a transaction and executing a writ through a legal chamber, resulting in the sale of the properties.
Pastor Kelvin further claimed the legislator used a non-existent identity to access the lands and properties, asserting that no transactions occurred with Air Real Estate Limited. He argued that the MP's actions were fraudulent and that Bediako misled the court to facilitate the sale.
