Ahoufe Patricia Advocates for Increased Female Leadership in Ghana

Accra: Popular Ghanaian actress and media personality Ahoufe Patricia has declared that women already hold the power to shape the future, calling on more women across the creative arts and public sectors to step up and claim leadership roles. Speaking in an interview with Nikki Samonas on Joy Prime, the actress addressed the question of whether women could "take over the world" within the next decade, arguing that female influence is already foundational to society. According to Ghana Web, Ahoufe Patricia stated, "Women run the world. Nothing would exist without women. Men can't live alone. We can survive on our own, but men can't. I think we are still realizing it." She emphasized the potential for women to step into their power, asserting that they can achieve what men can do, and even more effectively. When asked about Ghana's readiness to accommodate female leadership, especially within judicial and governmental frameworks, Patricia expressed optimism. She pointed to the existing presence of women in hi gh-profile positions as evidence of capability and potential. Rather than focusing on systemic barriers, Patricia highlighted the responsibility of women to advance into decision-making roles, particularly in the entertainment industry. "I just feel like it's up to us to step up more. Hopefully, there will be more female producers and directors. We are ready, just that a lot more of us need to push instead of surrender," she added.
