Sekondi-takoradi: The Ahantaman Community Bank has gifted the Western Regional Directorate of the Ghana Education Service a mechanized water system to ensure access to clean water. The initiative aims to support the community's health and sanitation needs, enhancing the working conditions for the staff.
According to Ghana News Agency, the Right Reverend Daniel De-Graft Brace, Board Chairman of the bank, expressed his satisfaction with the bank's ability to positively impact the lives of communities and institutions during the handing over ceremony. He emphasized the bank's mission to support communities through its services and urged the Directorate to maintain the facility while calling on Ghanaians to be responsible environmental stewards.
Mr. Samuel Nyanzu Ackah, the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the bank, highlighted that addressing such a critical health and sanitation issue would provide staff with peace of mind, enabling them to better serve the citizens. He reiterated the bank's dedication to community development through innovative products and services, especially their 'One Bank, One System, Six Channels' initiative which includes payroll and digital banking platforms.
Madam Ellen Anti, Deputy Western Regional Director of GES, praised the bank for its timely intervention, noting that the project illustrates the impact of partnerships between corporate institutions and public service organizations. She stated that the project represents more than just a borehole, showcasing the potential of collaborative efforts.
In a previous gesture of community support, the bank donated a Canon photocopier to the Agona Nkwanta Polyclinic to aid healthcare delivery.
