Adidome: Residents of the Adidome Central Electoral Area in the Central Tongu District are gearing up for a communal road patching exercise aimed at addressing deteriorating sections of the township's road network. According to Ghana News Agency, the Assembly Member for the area, Mr. Guggisberg Fiagbenu, has formally communicated with the District Police Commander regarding the exercise. Mr. Fiagbenu highlighted the increasing safety concerns caused by numerous potholes, which have adversely affected motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians. The community has decided to take temporary measures to mitigate these issues while waiting for more extensive repairs from the appropriate authorities.
The road patching effort, scheduled for Monday, January 19, 2026, at 700 hours, will involve local artisans and volunteers from various parts of the township. Mr. Fiagbenu has requested police support to manage traffic during the exercise and ensure it proceeds smoothly. Residents have expressed optimism that this initiative will help alleviate transportation challenges faced by commercial drivers, traders, and commuters, and reduce minor accidents attributed to poor road surfaces.
