Korlekope: Mr Kenneth Kabu Kofi Kanor, the Ada East District Chief Executive, has officially initiated the construction of a new kindergarten school block in Korlekope, located in the Greater Accra Region. The inauguration ceremony marks the beginning of a project aimed at enhancing early childhood education facilities within the community.
According to Ghana News Agency, the project is part of a broader initiative to improve infrastructure under the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama. Korlekope, historically one of the oldest settlements in the district, is experiencing rapid growth due to its proximity to Kasseh, the district's commercial center. Mr Kanor emphasized the project's role in fulfilling key developmental promises and committed to ensuring its timely completion to benefit local education.
Addressing the attendees, Mr Kanor expressed his dedication to overseeing the project's progress, stating, "As DCE, I will ensure that this project is completed on time for the benefit of the community." He also mentioned other planned projects that aim to improve infrastructure and the livelihoods of residents across the district.
Miss Joana Hassan, CEO of Exiles Construction Company, assured that the construction would be completed within three months, highlighting the company's commitment to quality and adherence to the timeline. Additionally, Mr Emmanuel Tetteh Kabu, the Constituency Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Ada, urged the contractors to hire local residents, offering temporary employment opportunities to the youth.
The groundbreaking event was attended by Mr Philip Tetteh Achia, the presiding member of the Ada East District Assembly, along with various community leaders, assembly members, and party officials.
