Actress BamBam’s Phone Stolen at Alex Ekubo’s Memorial Service

Lagos: Nigerian actress Bamike Olawunmi-Adenibuyan, popularly known as BamBam, has addressed reports surrounding the disappearance of her mobile phone, clarifying that her personal assistant was not responsible for its loss.

According to Ghana Web, BamBam shared details of the incident in a video posted on social media on June 11, 2026, explaining that the phone went missing after she attended a memorial event for the late actor Alexx Ekubo. She described how the ceremony concluded with attendees exchanging pleasantries and reflecting on the actor's impact.

BamBam recounted that she realized her phone was missing after entering her car. A video had surfaced online showing her personal assistant removing a phone from BamBam's bag, leading to accusations against the assistant. However, BamBam clarified that the assistant took the phone to prevent potential theft in the crowded venue.

The actress further explained that after the event, her assistant collected her bag and belongings, but the phone was already missing at that point. She initially assumed the assistant had the device until they entered the car and discovered it was gone.

BamBam speculated that the phone might have been stolen while she was greeting people or taking selfies with fans. She questioned why someone would consider committing theft at a memorial service.

In her statement, BamBam urged the public to stop attacking her personal assistant, emphasizing that the assistant did not steal the phone and should not be subjected to negative publicity. She reiterated that the phone was stolen after the event had concluded.
