Accra:The Deputy National Women's Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dzifa Tegah, has revealed the circumstances that led to her dismissal from her position as a communications officer at the State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA) during the New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration. Tegah recounted that she was terminated after inadvertently sharing a party communication on SIGA's platform while fulfilling her duties for the NDC.
According to Ghana Web, Tegah explained that the incident took place while Asamoah Boateng was head of SIGA. At that time, she held dual roles as a communications officer at SIGA and as an executive in the NDC. She had prepared a write-up containing party instructions meant for distribution across NDC communication platforms. The document was not controversial but included her name and position within the party.
Tegah narrated that during the distribution of the message, she mistakenly posted it on SIGA's platform. The mix-up was partly due to the similar color schemes of SIGA's and NDC's emblems, both featuring green and red. This mistake led to her being identified as an NDC member, resulting in her dismissal without a fair hearing, which she described as unfair.
Despite the setback, Tegah expressed that losing her job ultimately became a blessing, as it contributed significantly to her personal and political development. She referred to her dismissal as the greatest blessing of her life, suggesting that it played a crucial role in shaping her current path.
