Accra: Abusuapanyin Kofi Owusu, known as 'Tupac', has made a heartfelt appeal for peace and reconciliation between the wives of the late highlife musician Daddy Lumba, following the one-year remembrance ceremony of the artist. As the family's Abusuapanyin, Owusu emphasized his commitment to fostering harmony within the family, underscoring the necessity of understanding in resolving conflicts.
According to Ghana Web, Owusu highlighted how personal struggles often remain hidden, advocating for a compassionate approach to conflicts within the family. He stated, "As Abusuapanyin, I don't just stand anywhere. I stand for one thing, and that is peace. No one truly knows what the other person is going through. They may be facing challenges but have not informed anyone to receive the help they need."
Owusu expressed hope that the successful commemoration of Daddy Lumba's one-year memorial would pave the way for reconciliation, particularly between the musician's wives. He called for an end to the exchange of curses and accusations, emphasizing the family's desire for unity. "We want peace and reconciliation. That is why I keep telling them to stop the curses. All I want is to wake up one day and see both wives at peace with each other," he added.
He further assured that should the two women reconcile and seek to jointly honor Daddy Lumba's legacy, he would provide his full support as the family's Abusuapanyin. "If, after reconciling, they decide to celebrate the man together and they come to me as Abusuapanyin for assistance, I will be there to help," he affirmed.
The appeal by Owusu comes amidst public interest in the relationship between Daddy Lumba's wives and ongoing family efforts to maintain the legacy of the legendary musician.
