Accra: The Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central, Kwame Asare Obeng, widely recognized as A Plus, has announced that he engaged in conversations with President John Dramani Mahama concerning the development of an airport in the Central Region. A Plus revealed this during his address at the Gomoa Easter Carnival's grand durbar, encouraging residents to support the envisioned project.
According to Ghana Web, the President has expressed support for the proposal to establish the facility in the region. A Plus emphasized the potential benefits of the airport, stating that during a meeting with the Director of Tema Port, arranged by the President, he highlighted the importance of building an airport in the Central Region to enhance sea transport and create job opportunities.
He further mentioned that recent actions by President Mahama suggest a growing interest in the region's development. A Plus noted that when a group approached the President with proposals related to the Tema Port, he redirected their focus to the Central Region, indicating his commitment to its growth.
