Ephraim Zinser Pursues Basketball Ambitions Amid Everyday Challenges

Tudu:Ngleshie Amanfro Ephraim Zinser Mac-Saawa, a seven-foot-tall resident of Ngleshie Amanfro, attracts attention due to his height, which often leads to curious interactions with the public. However, his aspirations extend beyond his imposing stature; he dreams of representing Ghana in international basketball competitions.

According to Ghana Web, Ephraim, originally from Nandom Piina in the Upper West Region, developed an interest in sports during his early school years. Initially drawn to volleyball, his passion shifted towards basketball during his time at Abakrampa Senior High School, despite the lack of a basketball court for practice.

In recent months, Ephraim has been training at Magic Basketball Academy in Tudu, near Accra Technical University, an opportunity arranged by his father. He aims to hone his skills in hopes of joining Ghana's national basketball team. He admires French basketball player Victor Wembanyama for his defensive skills and hopes to emulate his success.

Despite his height offering a potential advantage in basketball, Ephraim recognizes the need for proper training and equipment to advance his career. His daily life presents challenges, particularly regarding public transportation, where finding comfortable seating can be difficult due to his height.

Beyond basketball, Ephraim works at a printing press and plans to study Computer Science at university. He aspires to become a software engineer and create educational applications that aid young learners.
