Accra:Ghanaian musician and storyteller Nana Acheamfour has entered the campaign against drug abuse among young people with his new song, Tontonte.
According to Ghana Web, the track features veteran vocalist Mary Agyapong and was produced by the well-known music producer Appietus. The song tackles issues such as indiscipline, peer pressure, and the detrimental effects of drug abuse on youth.
The release of Tontonte coincides with ongoing concerns over substance abuse and youth indiscipline. The Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment's 'Red Means Stop' campaign aims to curb the misuse of substances, particularly those associated with the term 'Red.'
Nana Acheamfour, recognized for blending rap and storytelling to convey social messages, uses this song to engage young people in considering the consequences of their decisions. His collaborative history includes working with Ghanaian highlife legend Kojo Antwi, further establishing his reputation in the music industry.
Mary Agyapong, known for her extensive experience in Ghanaian popular music, joins this project, having previously worked on significant musical ventures such as Ade d? d? with the late Sonni Balli. Appietus, who handled the production, brings his expertise in contemporary Ghanaian music to Tontonte.
