According to Ghana News Agency, this recognition underscores the growing strength and professionalism of Prudential's agency network, as well as the significant contributions of its Financial Consultants and Advisors to the company's growth within the competitive life insurance market.
MDRT is internationally recognized as the standard for professional excellence in life insurance and financial services. In recent years, Prudential Africa has seen a notable improvement in MDRT performance, with 275 Financial Consultants and Advisors qualifying in the first half of 2026, following 662 qualifiers in 2025.
Prudential plc's premier sponsorship of the MDRT, part of a three-year global partnership launched in 2025, supports Financial Consultants and Advisors across its markets, including Ghana. This sponsorship provides access to global learning, leadership development, peer networking, and best-practice sharing.
Emmanuel Mokobi Aryee, CEO of Prudential Africa, emphasized the crucial role of Financial Consultants and Advisors, noting their importance as individuals and families increasingly recognize the value of planning for their financial future. He highlighted that the growth in Ghana is a key component of Prudential's fastest-growing MDRT community globally.
Jane Mingle, CEO of Prudential Life Insurance Ghana, expressed pride in the company's achievements, which include being the only insurer in Ghana with MDRT qualifiers and featuring among MDRT's Global Top 100. Prudential Africa's parent company, Prudential PLC, operates the second-largest MDRT agency force worldwide. In its 2026 half-year results, Prudential PLC reported an eight percent increase in new business profit, reaching US$1,384 million, with margins expanding by two percentage points to 40 percent.
Across Africa, Prudential has 12,000 Financial Consultants and Advisors in Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, Ghana, and Nigeria, marking a 71 percent increase over five years, and serving 2.6 million customers, up from 1.7 million in 2021.
