Accra: Leader of the International God's Way Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim, has directed a series of curses towards Ghanaian journalist Ola Michael following reports of alleged marital issues between the bishop and his wife. The controversy erupted after Michael claimed on his Neat FM show that a family member had informed him about the bishop's divorce.
According to Ghana Web, Ola Michael reported that Florence Obinim had taken drinks to Bishop Obinim's family, signaling an official end to their marriage. The journalist shared that the family member told him Florence's family was "tired of the disgrace, insults, and everything else" and returned the drinks, which Bishop Obinim supposedly instructed to be taken back.
During a church service held on September 8, 2026, Bishop Obinim publicly disputed the journalist's claims, asserting that only three individuals were involved in the divorce issue. He invoked divine intervention, stating that God would deal with the journalist for spreading false information. Using elements like water and air, Obinim called upon curses to impact Ola Michael.
Bishop Obinim further criticized his wife, Florence, for discussing their marital issues with Prophet Ogyaba instead of more familiar individuals. He expressed confusion and disappointment over her decision to involve Ogyaba, suggesting that it led to further humiliation on social media.
