Onasis Kobby Urges NDC Members to Remain Patient for Opportunities

Accra: The Deputy Chief Executive Officer in charge of Operations and Technical at the Petroleum Hub Development Corporation (PHDC), Onasis Kobby Rosely, has called for calm and patience among the rank and file of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), noting that the party's steadfast commitment to rewarding loyal members means their turn will soon come.

According to Ghana Web, Onasis Kobby highlighted the NDC's tradition of acknowledging and rewarding loyalty. He assured party members that their efforts and sacrifices will eventually be recognized, even if they have not yet secured roles in the current government.

Speaking at a party event last weekend, Onasis Kobby encouraged the party members not to abandon their commitments. He used his personal journey and that of President John Mahama as examples, emphasizing that his appointment as Deputy CEO of PHDC was the result of over sixteen years of service to the party.

He also mentioned President Mahama's rise, noting that Mahama had to surpass several prominent NDC figures to achieve the presidency. Kobby pointed out that the path in politics is unconventional, and loyalty and dedication are always rewarded.

The energy expert argued that as long as the NDC remains in government, opportunities will continue to arise for its members. He urged members to remain patient, highlighting that the longer the NDC stays in power, the better the chances for everyone to serve in government.

Onasis Kobby's advice comes amid concerns from some party members about feeling sidelined after the party's victory in the 2024 elections. Despite rumors of rifts and dissatisfaction within parts of the NDC over job shortages, Kobby is urging patience as the government works to create opportunities for all.
