Prince Obeng Urges NPP Delegates to Support Sylvester Tetteh for General Secretary

Accra: Former Greater Accra Regional Organiser and current Second Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Greater Accra Region, Prince Obeng, has urged party delegates to support former Bortianor-Ngleshie-Amanfro Member of Parliament (MP), Sylvester Tetteh, in his bid to become the party's next General Secretary.

According to Ghana Web, Obeng emphasized that electing Sylvester Tetteh would not only strengthen the party but also create opportunities for members across the Greater Accra Region to benefit from the party's leadership and appointments. Obeng stated, "Give Greater Accra the General Secretary of the party. Just look at the service that Sly has rendered and give him the nod to lead the party. If he wins, everybody will benefit from the party's cake."

He further noted that a victory for Tetteh would ensure that party members across the region had the opportunity to benefit from appointments and other opportunities within the party. "When it comes to appointments, everyone will benefit from the party," he said.

Obeng delivered these remarks at the NPP headquarters in Accra during the filing of nominations by Sylvester Tetteh to contest the party's General Secretary position. Sylvester Tetteh, a former MP for Bortianor-Ngleshie-Amanfro, is among four candidates seeking to lead the party's administrative structure as General Secretary. The incumbent General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, is seeking re-election and will face competition from former Subin MP Eugene Boakye Antwi, Sylvester Tetteh, and Charles Dwamena.
