Karaga: Karaga MP and former Finance Minister, Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, has paid tribute to the late Paramount Chief of the Tolon Traditional Area, Naa Yab Tolon-Naa, Major (Rtd.) Sulemana Abubakari. Dr. Amin Adam commemorated the late chief as a leader whose life was a testament to numerous distinguished legacies.
According to Ghana Web, Dr. Amin Adam joined mourners at the three-day funeral prayer, known as Adua, held in honor of the late chief. The Paramount Chief passed away after a period of dedicated service to the Tolon Traditional Area.
In a Facebook post dated August 30, 2026, Dr. Amin Adam highlighted the multifaceted life of Naa Yab Tolon-Naa, describing him as a warrior, statesman, humanitarian, and traditional ruler. He noted how these roles exemplified the late chief's commitment to his people and his leadership within the community.
Dr. Amin Adam expressed his sorrow and admiration, stating, "Yesterday, we observed the three-day funeral prayer (Adua) held in honor of the late Paramount Chief of the Tolon Traditional Area, Naa Yab Tolon-Naa, Major (Rtd.) Sulemana Abubakari. He embodied four distinct legacies in one: a warrior, a statesman, a humanitarian, and a traditional ruler. Rest in perfect peace, my Chief."
