Royal Mama Retains Gospel Artiste of the Year Crown at Ghana Music Awards USA

Maryland: Renowned gospel musician and ministry leader Emma Aboagye-Poku, popularly known by her stage name Royal Mama, has made history by winning the Gospel Artiste of the Year award for the second consecutive time at the 2026 Ghana Music Awards USA. The musician, who is based in the United States of America (USA), has achieved a major milestone in her career by becoming the first gospel artiste to win the coveted accolade in back-to-back editions.

According to Ghana Web, at the 2026 ceremony held at the Hyatt Regency Princeton in New Jersey, the latest win took her overall tally to five awards, further cementing her reputation as one of the finest Ghanaian gospel artistes in the USA. Addressing the audience, Royal Mama expressed her elation over the historic recognition and attributed her success to divine favor, acknowledging that it was God's grace that elevated her to such prestigious heights.

The gospel minister also expressed appreciation to the organisers of the Ghana Music Awards USA, her management team, and family for their relentless support, which contributed to her historic success. 'First and foremost, I give all the glory to God Almighty for this grace. This back-to-back recognition is not by my own strength, but by His mercies and favour upon my life and ministry,' she said.
