Kumasi: Veteran Ghanaian actor Agya Koo has revealed that he had no idea he was joining a movie project owned by Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as LilWin. Speaking in a video shared on social media while on set on August 11, 2026, Agya Koo explained that it was the director who contacted him to feature in the movie, rather than LilWin himself.
According to Ghana Web, the veteran actor only discovered that the production belonged to LilWin after arriving on set. Agya Koo expressed that if Kwadwo had personally reached out to him and he was available, he would have participated. He emphasized that it was the director who called him, and he was unaware of Kwadwo's involvement until he arrived.
Agya Koo shared that he subsequently asked LilWin why he did not personally inform him about the project, stressing the importance of supporting one another in the entertainment industry. He questioned LilWin on why he was not informed directly, highlighting the need for collaboration and mutual support among colleagues.
The actor, however, mentioned that he was committed to giving his best to the production despite how he was brought onto the project. He explained that actors need to prepare themselves mentally and put in their best when working on movies so the audience can enjoy the final product and look forward to more productions.
Agya Koo appealed to Ghanaians to support the movie when it is released, noting that substantial effort and resources had gone into producing it. He urged the public to lend their support, as it would enable the industry to thrive and produce more quality films.
