Veep Leads National Dialogue on Decentralisation and Responsive Governance

Accra: The government is holding a National Dialogue on Decentralisation and Responsive Governance today, Monday, August 10, 2026. The event, convened by the Inter-Ministerial Coordinating Committee on Decentralisation (IMCC), focuses on resetting local governance and improving public service delivery.

According to Ghana Web, the Vice President, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, is leading the national dialogue. This initiative aims to address the challenges and enhance the efficiency of local governance structures. The inaugural National Dialogue on Decentralisation and Responsive Governance took place on September 25-26, 2025, at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra, Ghana.
