‘If Anything Happens to Me, NDC Members Involved Will Pay’ – NPP’s Adenta Kumi

Accra: New Patriotic Party (NPP) activist Alfred Ababio Kumi, also known as Adenta Kumi, has issued a stern warning to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) members, asserting that he will retaliate spiritually against anyone from the NDC who causes him harm.

According to Ghana Web, during the "Democracy Under Attack Demonstration" organized by the NPP on August 6, 2026, Kumi expressed that he had taken precautionary measures to ensure his safety. He mentioned having submitted names of individuals he believes should be held accountable if anything were to happen to him.

'I have gone to my hometown. I have even submitted names if anything happens to me. All those involved and their descendants will be wiped away,' Kumi stated, emphasizing his readiness to deal with any perceived threats through spiritual means. He further warned that the NPP would not tolerate any attacks against him, promising a spiritual response if necessary.

Kumi's remarks followed his previous arrest in May 2025 after he submitted a petition to President John Mahama. The petition demanded the dissolution of the committee investigating the removal of former Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo, citing alleged misconduct by committee members, which he believed could undermine the process's credibility.
