Accra: Former Jubilee House Deputy Director of Communications, Yaw Preko, has announced his support for former New Patriotic Party (NPP) General Secretary John Boadu, declaring him the best candidate for the party's National Chairman position ahead of the 2028 general elections.
According to Ghana Web, Yaw Preko emphasized the need for strong leadership, effective organization, and a unifying figure within the NPP to steer the party towards a successful campaign against the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the upcoming elections. He believes that John Boadu embodies the necessary experience and leadership qualities to guide the party back to power.
In a recent interview on Metro TV, Yaw Preko highlighted John Boadu's instrumental role as the NPP's General Secretary during their victorious 2016 election campaign. Preko noted that Boadu was pivotal in organizing the party during a crucial period of rebuilding their electoral strength.
Yaw Preko also took the opportunity to criticize the current NDC administration, accusing it of failing to meet the expectations of Ghanaians. He argued that the NPP presents a better alternative for the country's future and urged party delegates to elect John Boadu as the National Chairman.
Preko expressed his confidence that with John Boadu at the helm, the NPP would become more united, better organized, and well-prepared to contest and potentially win the 2028 general elections.
