Accra: An alleged thief, who identified himself as Kwaku Bright, was compelled to accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and personal Saviour following an unsuccessful burglary attempt, as witnessed in a widely circulated video.
According to Ghana Web, Bright was apprehended by a group of men after allegedly breaking into a residence. The video footage, believed to be taken at a police station, shows the men interrogating Bright about his criminal actions. When questioned about his choice to steal rather than seek honest employment, Bright acknowledged the consequences of his actions, stating, "Stealing is not good because if you are caught, you will be beaten."
During the confrontation, one of the men pointed out the late hour, stating, "It is 1:15 a.m and I am working as an Okada rider. But you are out here stealing with this pair of pliers and about five different SIM cards. Why?" The interrogation concluded with the men leading Bright in a prayer, encouraging him to accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and personal Saviour as a step towards abandoning his life of crime.
In a recorded statement, Bright declared, "I accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and personal Saviour. So, help me God," signaling his willingness to change his ways. The incident has sparked discussions across various platforms, highlighting the unconventional approach taken by the men in addressing crime in their community.
